Mobile Stage System Components Explained

This article explains the common system components of a mobile stage and defines what each system usually refers to during project communication.

System Component Overview

Mobile Stage System Overview: Extended Configuration — Structure and Canopy

Mobile stages can usually be understood through four system blocks:

1. Structural system

2. Roof system

3. Movement drive and operation method

4. Power supply method and optional systems

1) Structural System

The structural system refers to the load-bearing and deployment structure of the equipment body.It usually includes the load-bearing base, fixed structure, stage deployment structure, and structure-related accessories, subject to the confirmed project documents.

The structural system generally needs to clarify three points:

How the equipment is fixed and supported during transport

How the stage space is deployed after arrival

What the basic boundaries of the deployed stage space are

Ceiling System Example: Coverage Status with Ceiling Extended

2) Roof System

The roof system refers to the overhead covering structure above the stage. It usually includes the main roof structure and forms a covering area that works with the deployed stage space after setup, subject to the confirmed project documents.Roof information generally includes the covering range and how the covering structure is formed after deployment.

3) Movement Drive and Operation Method

Hydraulic Operation Modes: Wireless Remote Control and Button Control Box

Different models may use different deployment and retraction methods. During project communication, two items usually need to be described separately:

Movement drive method: hydraulic drive / manual operation
Operation method: wireless remote control / manual button control box / fully manual operation

The specific drive method and on-site operation method depend on the equipment model and the confirmed project documents.

4) Power Supply Method and Optional Systems

4.1 Power Supply Method

Common power supply methods include:External power supply;Onboard generator(Whether an onboard generator is included depends on the confirmed project scope)

The power supply method affects power distribution planning and site condition requirements. Therefore, it should usually be clarified during project communication.

4.2 Optional Systems

Depending on the project scope, a mobile stage may be configured with or integrated with the following systems:LED screen;Lighting system;Audio system

Whether these systems are included in the project scope depends on the confirmed project documents.

Quick Review

A mobile stage system usually includes the structural system, roof system, movement drive and operation method, power supply method, and optional systems.

The drive method and operation method vary by model. They should be clearly stated during project communication.

Whether the power supply method and optional systems are included depends on the confirmed project documents.
