LED screens are commonly used for outdoor concerts, sports events, brand roadshows and public events.
For a mobile stage project, screen size is only part of the information we need. The installation position, screen weight, mounting method and transport plan can also affect the stage configuration.
If the LED screen will be supplied by the customer or a local LED company, it is better to provide the basic screen information while the mobile stage configuration is being confirmed.
Start with the overall width and height of the LED screen.
If the screen has already been selected, provide the following information if available:
Overall screen size (W × H)
LED cabinet size
Weight of each cabinet
Total screen weight
LED screen technical data
This gives us more useful information than the screen dimensions alone.
For an LED screen that will be installed on the mobile stage, we also need to check the available space and installation conditions of the selected stage model.
LED screens can be installed at the rear of the stage, beside the stage, or on a separate support structure.
A main LED screen is often positioned at the rear of the stage for video, live camera feeds or event visuals.
The available stage space and the position of other equipment should be considered before the screen size is finalized.
Some events use one or two side screens.
If a side screen will be connected to the mobile stage structure, its dimensions, weight and mounting method should be confirmed in advance. The installation then needs to be checked against the specific stage model.
The LED screen can also be installed on a separate ground-supported structure without being connected to the mobile stage.
In this case, enough space should still be left around the stage for equipment, cables and crew access.
A screen that fits within the available space is not automatically suitable for installation on the stage.
If the LED screen will be connected to the mobile stage structure, its total weight and mounting method need to be confirmed.
Different parts of a mobile stage have different structural conditions. LED screens, speakers, lighting equipment and other event equipment also need to be considered according to where they will be installed.
For this reason, we do not recommend judging installation suitability by LED screen area alone.
For a customer-supplied LED screen, the screen dimensions, weight and mounting information can be checked together with the selected mobile stage model.
If the LED screen is supplied by the customer or a local LED company, the approximate location of the control equipment should be decided before the event setup.
For the mobile stage, the main concern is whether the equipment takes up stage or technical space and whether cables need to pass through working areas.
The detailed LED control system and signal setup should be confirmed with the LED equipment supplier.
The screen's power requirements should also be based on the technical information provided by the LED supplier.
If the event uses LED screens together with stage lighting, sound equipment and other electrical equipment, their power requirements should be considered as part of the overall event power plan.
Any electrical connection or power configuration related directly to the mobile stage should be checked according to the specific vehicle.
For outdoor events, the LED screen must be suitable for the conditions at the event site.
Its protection rating, operating limits and other requirements should follow the information provided by the LED screen manufacturer.
If the screen is connected to the mobile stage structure, the operating conditions of the stage must also be considered.
Screen size or weight alone is not enough to determine whether a complete setup is suitable for a particular site.
If the LED screen has already been selected, the following information is useful when confirming the mobile stage:
Overall LED screen dimensions
LED cabinet dimensions
Cabinet weight and total screen weight
Installation position
Mounting method
LED screen technical data
Whether the LED equipment needs to travel with the stage
If the LED screen has not yet been selected, the mobile stage model and basic event requirements can be confirmed first. The detailed LED screen configuration can then be discussed with the LED equipment supplier.
When an LED screen is installed inside, beside or directly connected to a mobile stage, its size, weight and mounting method become part of the stage setup.
Confirming this information before production makes it easier to check the available space and structural conditions of the selected stage.
For projects using customer-supplied LED screens, HUAYUAN can check the relevant stage installation space and structural conditions based on the selected mobile stage model and the LED screen information provided by the customer.
